The EHS Leader is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety and environmental programs and procedures in the areas of health, safety, and sustainability for all sites within the operating company. Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to health and safety, including ISO and OSHA standards. Conduct regular audits to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. Manage the company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) database. Provide safety support, guidance, and oversight. Mentor team members and leaders in EHS matters. Lead workplace safety committees for all sites. Lead incident investigations to identify root causes, create action plans, and implement preventative measures. Lead safety visits and audits, including those conducted by OSHA. Develop and deliver safety training; coordinate with internal or third‑party experts. Create a sustainable safety culture through hazard recognition and procedural support. Manage environmental regulatory compliance. Investigate and promote practices to reduce environmental impact. Participate in company sustainability initiatives as the operating representative. Complete environmental initiatives and data surveys on behalf of the operating company. Establish requirements for chemical exposure assessments and hazardous material monitoring. Facilitate safety operational excellence improvement opportunities. Coordinate and conduct emergency response and training drills. File required regulatory and customer environmental reports. Plan and document safe usage and discharge of hazardous chemicals and waste. Manage cross‑functional ergonomics programs. Perform indoor air and noise assessments. Administer programs such as respiratory protection, hazard communication, hearing conservation, lockout/tagout, forklift safety, and safety glasses. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, occupational health and safety, safety engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). Strong influence skills across cross‑functional teams. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or related safety certifications. Continuing education and participation in local chapters, associations, or organizations. Physical & Environmental Demands
Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals.
Testing is conducted periodically to ensure all chemicals remain well below OSHA permissible exposure levels. Pay Range
USD $97,900.00 – $198,000.00 per year.
This is a bonus‑eligible position. Company Benefits
