Job Summary The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the program using sound professional judgment and best practices to supervise staff to ensure quality services are provided, compliance with policies and procedures, and meeting contract deliverables.
Essential Functions
Leadership and Supervision :
Lead and supervise staff, including providing consultation, evaluation, and training.
Ensure contract compliance and quality service delivery.
Act as a liaison with contract managers.
Monitor and maintain program procedures.
Guide, lead, and mentor staff.
Implement safety protocols.
Program Management :
Meet deadlines and ensure program outcomes are achieved.
Oversee program budgets and financial reports.
Review and approve spending reports.
Collect and submit required documentation.
Conduct file audits and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Community Engagement :
Participate in community meetings and outreach activities.
Build relationships with community entities.
Staff Development :
Hire, train, and evaluate staff.
Provide coaching, counseling, and development plans.
Ensure staff are trained in program data collection.
Crisis Management :
Respond promptly to crises.
Be on call after hours.
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Measurable Deliverables
Meet all federal, state, and agency guidelines and standards.
Schedule and participate in meetings and team decisions and operations.
Ensure program outcomes and contract deliverables are met.
Submit timely reports.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Responsible for oversight of the budget for the program, including reviewing monthly ledgers, billing spreadsheets, daily expense tracking, and all financial reports for compliance.
Monitor and approve program spending based on approved budgets.
Review and approve monthly spending reports for direct reports. Collect and submit original receipts, expense reports, sign‑in sheets, and other required documentation for budget and billing timely.
Complete ongoing training, weekly consultation, and monthly case file audits, review of case documentation, report writing, and shadowing of case managers.
Participate in community outreach and build relationships.
Train and develop staff.
Demonstrate:
Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio‑economic characteristics.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English.
Work in a fast‑paced environment.
Maintain computer literacy required for the position.
Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Travel as needed.
Other job duties as assigned per grant requirements.
Requirements
Maintain certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid and CPR.
Valid Texas Driver’s license with a clear driving record and reliable transportation.
Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and random drug screens.
Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
Pass a pre‑employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints required if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
