About the Role
Join to apply for the Department Manager role at McDonald’s. This position is in a franchise-owned restaurant. The franchisee is the employer, not McDonald’s USA. All employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, and scheduling, are handled by the franchisee.
Responsibilities
Lead shifts every week to ensure customers receive fast, accurate, friendly service.
Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to the team and other managers.
For a Guest Service Department Manager: oversee crew and managers to deliver a great customer experience, manage sales promotions, train service staff, and keep the Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas organized.
For a Kitchen Department Manager: ensure high‑quality food is delivered quickly, maintain food safety, control food cost, and train kitchen staff on new menu items.
For a People Department Manager: hire qualified crew, provide thorough training, schedule to meet sales and profit goals, and recognize and motivate crew throughout their time at the restaurant.
Qualifications
Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
Positive team player with a flexible schedule and a passion for fast‑paced McDonald’s environments.
Must be 18 years or older.
