Summary The Senior Contract Manager Preconstruction supports Qcells USA’s commercial and execution teams with EPC‑related tasks. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts for revisions to commercial terms, compiling final contract forms and exhibits, tracking document revisions, coordinating internal review processes, and managing EPC and related contracts.
Reports to the Senior Director of Preconstruction (or President‑designated personnel). Working hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00‑5:00 am or 9:00‑6:00 pm local time, with potential overtime and weekend work. The role is expected to travel up to 10% of the time. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Support the preconstruction team and Legal in drafting, negotiating, and managing full wrap engineering, procurement, and construction contracts.
Review, interpret, and negotiate contract documents to determine contractual obligations, including governmental regulations and company guidelines.
Develop compliance trackers for delivery to execution teams.
Drive contract execution by managing internal and external workflows, facilitating meetings, updating progress, and improving process efficiency.
Compile contracts, track document and exhibit revisions, and perform related document‑management tasks.
Coordinate with Legal and EPC commercial teams to incorporate all comments into the latest revisions.
Review contracts for accuracy.
Assist in establishing contract management processes between Legal and the EPC teams.
Update contract templates as needed.
Assume additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.
Travel up to 10% as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant certificate from college or technical school.
10+ years relevant experience (construction, energy industry preferred).
Background in commercial construction, equipment supply, and/or engineering contracts.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; computer fluency; effective negotiator.
Experience in construction‑related contracts—solar PV and BESS projects preferred.
Self‑motivated with superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Assertive, able to cope with dynamic surroundings.
Capacity to prioritize multiple concurrent projects and issues.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Procore.
Travel up to 10% as needed.
