Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Jr. to Mid-Level Cloud Systems Engineer. The role involves administration, configuration, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and other planning/design support for cloud infrastructure and user identity, focusing on a Microsoft Azure environment of roughly 300 virtual servers for over 2,000 employees. Responsibilities include architecting, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance, and supporting IT and business departments through Azure virtual desktop, Azure virtual machines, Azure app proxies, and Microsoft 365 services.
Responsibilities
Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and support existing Microsoft Azure environment.
Support disaster recovery and backup processes.
Architect and deploy scalable and secure cloud environments.
Manage core infrastructure components and ensure high availability.
Support Azure virtual desktop and Azure virtual machines.
Assist in Microsoft 365 migrations (M365 mail, SharePoint data, file server unstructured data).
Perform patch management and system provisioning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent education and experience).
3–5 years of experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Windows server environments (physical and virtual).
Experience with Active Directory Domain Services, privileged access, software restriction, and Windows authentication.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for Windows/Linux systems and servers.
Knowledge of Azure Cloud, SharePoint migrations, and Microsoft 365 services.
Experience with Intune, Entra, and Azure App Proxy (preferred).
Experience Level Junior to Intermediate Level
Job Type & Location Permanent position based in Birmingham, AL. Hybrid workplace.
Pay and Benefits Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per year.
