Job Summary ICT is looking for a personable, experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a multi‑disciplined design team in our Nashville office. The position will focus on Commercial and Federal projects, requiring familiarity with state‑of‑the‑art design and various state and local regulations.
Responsibilities
Supervise projects to ensure they meet commitments related to time, quality, and communication.
Work directly with clients to establish project schedules and set expectations.
Assist market segment manager and team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
Manage, direct and supervise mechanical engineering staff for specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion.
Schedule and lead mechanical production staff meetings.
Assist team leader in annual reviews of mechanical staff.
Assist market segment manager and team leader in maintaining and developing client base through business development efforts.
Assist market segment manager and team leader in preparation of RFP‑type proposal responses, including project write‑ups and resumes.
Visit construction sites to monitor progress and perform other duties per contract documents.
Check all technical work for accuracy.
Work well independently and as part of an experienced team.
Take an active lead in proposal work processes; identify prospective clients and work with team leader to establish relationships.
Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.
Qualifications
P.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience and detailed understanding of Revit is a plus.
10+ years of design/engineering consulting experience.
