Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery – Vascular Surgeon University of California, San Francisco – Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Department of Surgery

Position Description The Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UCSF seeks an outstanding candidate for a full‑time academic surgeon. The successful applicant will provide the full spectrum of vascular care at UCSF Health, including one or more community‑affiliated and/or public safety‑net hospitals. Candidates must be board‑certified or board‑eligible in Vascular Surgery by the time of hire and have completed an accredited vascular surgery fellowship or integrated residency program with strong training in both open and endovascular interventions.

Clinical Responsibilities

Staff outpatient clinics and perform surgical procedures at UCSF and affiliated hospitals.

Participate in the division call schedule, covering weekdays, weekends across campuses.

Serve on the physician reading panel for non‑invasive vascular diagnostic studies.

Develop a broad‑based clinical vascular surgery practice, including an ambulatory venous practice and practice expansion at a local affiliate hospital.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives and non‑invasive vascular imaging.

Education & Teaching

Demonstrate recognized skills in resident and medical student education.

Actively participate in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.

Provide scheduled lectures as part of the division’s didactic educational programs.

Research & Scholarship

Support the division’s leading research programs in alignment with its mission.

Desired Interests & Experience

Quality improvement.

Non‑invasive vascular imaging.

Ambulatory vascular practice.

Surgical education.

Salary & Benefits Salary is based on the UC salary scales for rank and step, with a minimum base salary range of

$154,700 – $405,900 . The position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, providing eligibility for additional compensation.
