We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing strategies and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. They work closely with development and product teams to integrate quality assurance into the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). What you will do… Automation strategy:
Contribute the overall test automation strategy across platforms and product lines. Identify and prioritize test cases for automation. Develop frameworks:
Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications. Create and execute tests:
Create, execute, and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, API, performance, and security testing. Integrate with CI/CD:
Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing. Troubleshoot and analyze:
Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues by conducting root cause analysis, and effectively report defects to development teams. Collaborate cross-functionally:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage, define acceptance criteria, and address quality concerns. Mentor and guide:
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior QA engineers on best practices, tools, and automation techniques. Drive process improvement:
Proactively identify areas for improvement in QA processes, tools, and metrics to optimize testing efficiency. Oversee testing procedures:
Supervise and guide the testing team to ensure adherence to established testing methodologies and quality standards. What you need… Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation. Education:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is often required. Automation tools:
Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and Appium. Testing frameworks:
Experience with Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow, Maven, Page Object Model, Page Factory Model and TestNG. API and database testing:
Solid experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured, and a strong understanding of relational databases with the ability to write SQL queries. CI/CD and version control:
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and version control systems (e.g., Git). Testing methodologies:
Deep understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies (like Agile/Scrum), and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Problem‑solving:
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Communication:
Advanced verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Nice‑to‑have skills Cloud testing:
Familiarity with cloud testing environments and technologies (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes). Performance/Security testing:
Knowledge of performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP). Domain knowledge:
Experience in a specific industry, such as healthcare, finance, or e‑commerce. Certifications:
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB.
