Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer Location: Milpitas, CA (On site) Team: Technology Salary Range: 120K to 150K (based on experience)

Responsibilities
Contribute the overall test automation strategy across platforms and product lines and identify/prioritize test cases for automation.
Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Create, execute, and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, API, performance, and security testing.
Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues by conducting root cause analysis, and report defects to development teams.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage, define acceptance criteria, and address quality concerns.
Mentor junior QA engineers on best practices, tools, and automation techniques.
Identify areas for improvement in QA processes, tools, and metrics to optimize testing efficiency.
Supervise and guide the testing team to ensure adherence to established testing methodologies and quality standards.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.
Generally requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Gherkin or Cucumber.
Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and Appium.
Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow, Maven, Page Object Model, Page Factory Model, and TestNG.
Solid experience with REST API testing using Postman or Rest Assured and strong understanding of relational databases with SQL query writing.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Deep understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies (like Agile/Scrum), and the software development lifecycle.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills to collaboratively engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, JUnit, BrowserStack, and XCUITest for test automation.
Familiarity with cloud testing environments and technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
Domain knowledge in industries such as healthcare, finance, or e‑commerce.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB.
