McDonald’s Works for Me is a franchise owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is your employer and is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment decisions.
Job Overview The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This includes setting the restaurant’s goals, creating plans to achieve them, and leading a team of Department Managers.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the restaurant’s short‑ and long‑term business plans.
Lead, coach, and develop Department and Shift Managers to build an effective team.
Set performance goals for departments, monitor progress, and implement improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all McDonald’s operational and quality standards.
Manage financial performance, including budget, labor costs, and inventory control.
Qualifications
Previous General Manager experience running high‑volume quick‑service restaurants.
Strong background in hospitality, retail, or a related field.
Minimum age 18 years for a manager in a corporate‑owned restaurant.
