Responsibilities The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with their leader to set restaurant goals and creates a plan to achieve them. To meet goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers who have specific responsibilities. The GM helps Department Managers set goals, monitors progress, and provides coaching and direction to improve each department. The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team.

Qualifications Ideal candidates should have previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Candidates must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
