Assurance Manager (Contractor)

Remote (Must reside in the U.S.) Start Dates:
November 2025 – January 2026 Pay:
$75 – $100 per hour (C2C) …W2 rates available upon request
Overview PeopleCaddie is supporting several of our clients—ranging from the Big Four to Top #50 public accounting firms—in identifying Assurance Manager (Contractor) to assist with upcoming busy‑season engagements. These roles provide an opportunity to work remotely across multiple industries while partnering with leading firms known for their excellence in assurance and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
Execute audit procedures on financial statement engagements for clients across industries such as manufacturing, technology, financial services, real estate, healthcare, and not‑for‑profit.
Perform substantive testing, risk assessment procedures, and control evaluations.
Prepare detailed workpapers supporting audit conclusions in compliance with firm and PCAOB standards.
Collaborate with Managers and Partners to ensure high‑quality deliverables and timely completion of audit fieldwork.
Communicate audit findings and progress updates with both internal teams and client personnel.
Contribute to engagement efficiency by identifying process improvements and leveraging technology tools (e.g., CaseWare, Alteryx, or firm‑specific audit platforms).
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in Public Accounting (required).
Audit Manager level experience.
Prior experience in External Audit at a Big Four, Top 20, or regional accounting firm.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
CPA or progress toward CPA highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC, and PCAOB standards.
Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
