We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Engineer to lead and support regulatory compliance activities related to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/EMI), Radio Frequency (RF), and Product Safety for our electronic products. This role involves working cross‑functionally with design, test, and certification teams to ensure products meet global regulatory requirements and standards. However, this is more than just a compliance role. It’s a chance to shape the future of product innovation at Crestron. You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, enabling global reach and customer trust. You’ll be working alongside other passionate engineers to use advanced equipment technologies to test the latest advancements in A/V products.
The candidate will work cross‑functionally with design, test, and certification teams to ensure products meet global regulatory standards. Responsibilities include overseeing testing such as Conducted Emissions, Radiated Emissions, Surge, Conducted and Radiated Immunity, ESD, RF testing for Wi‑Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth devices, and Product Safety evaluations under standards like IEC 62368/60730.
The candidate is also responsible for working with external 3rd party labs such as UL and ETL for requesting quotes, product certification, creating critical component lists, and preparing setup instructions to test EMC/EMI, RF, and Safety.

Key Responsibilities
Lead compliance efforts throughout the product development lifecycle.
Develop and execute test plans for pre‑compliance and formal certification.
Collaborate with external labs (e.g., UL, ETL) for quotes, certifications, and testing.
Interpret and apply international standards (CISPR, EN, IEC, ANSI, ETSI, ISO).
Review schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs for compliance risks.
Guide design teams on best practices for EMC, RF, and safety.
Create critical component lists and setup instructions for testing.
Maintain documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.
Stay updated on global regulatory changes.
Mentor junior engineers and support internal training.
Knowledge of working with EMC software like BAT EMC.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics design, with some exposure to compliance related work, particularly in EMC/EMI, RF, and safety standards.
Strong ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards and testing methodologies.
Hands‑on experience with test equipment (spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, LISNs, etc.).
Familiarity with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee, etc.) and associated regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Self‑starter with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimization.
