Position Overview:
Position title: Lecturer
Salary range: $70,977 – $199,722 (UC Academic scale).
Percent time: Generally part‑time; 5–100%.
Anticipated start: Spring 2026 or later.
Application window: Open September 2 2025 – Final date September 2 2026 (review date September 17 2025).
Teaching Responsibilities:
Prepare course materials (syllabus, website), hold office hours, assess and grade student work, provide feedback and counsel students.
Support experiential courses with simulation, video, and learning‑by‑doing pedagogies.
Basic Qualifications (required at time of application):
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent international degree).
Additional Qualifications (required at time of start):
Either J.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., LL.M., or equivalent degree with minimum 3 years of professional experience (legal practice, judicial clerkship, or law‑school teaching) in the U.S., or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 6 years of such experience.
Availability to teach in‑person during required law school class times.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching at a U.S. law school with outstanding student evaluations.
Five or more years of legal practice in the U.S. or another jurisdiction, especially within experiential education.
