Job Summary
Responsible for supporting and maintaining various aspects of the department's information technology infrastructure which requires a diverse skill set encompassing hardware and software troubleshooting, network, administration, user support and project management.
Assists in the functionality and configuration of the department's License Plate Recognition (LPR) system, including hardware installation, software setup, and integration with existing IT infrastructure. Monitors the performance and functionality of the LPR system, diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize system reliability
Provides hardware installation and software support as well as integration with existing IT infrastructure. Coordinates with external vendors and service provides for the system maintenance, upgrades and technical support.
Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and contributes to the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization.
Provides support and resolves issues for all department systems and hardware. Maintains record of system upgrade and maintenance, including all requirements related to data and system vulnerabilities. Adheres to Department procedures regarding all audit matters. Maintains an asset inventory list.
Works with the IT Security Office on IT Security initiatives. Ensures that IT Security issues and vulnerabilities are promptly resolved. Report all IT Security incidents to the IT Security Office
Performs essential duties in any emergencies such a hurricanes, public health emergencies and/or university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.
Serves as a primary point of contact for resolving technical issues and implementing IT solutions to meet the organization's needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technology field and two (2) years of experience in the field; OR six (6) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
