What You’ll Get To Do
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for software design
Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management to develop software for the mission operational system on the Sentinel program and apply concepts and practices to support equipment
Analyze and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for support equipment architecture development
Perform analyses at all levels of the product lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into support equipment and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into support equipment specifications using DOORS
Develop architectural framework products using CAMEO MBSE product toolsets
Ensure support equipment requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with the technical needs of the Sentinel program
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of experience, or 6 years of experience with a Master’s degree
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last six years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Four years’ experience in development of software and/or software requirements
Two years’ experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience in System Engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration on DoD/aerospace programs
Electrical Engineering degree
Four years’ designing and developing software and engineering requirements
Four years’ experience with CAMEO, DOORS, Confluence and JIRA
Experience developing/maintaining Peculiar (PSE) and Common (CSE) Support Equipment through all phases of the project life cycle
Experience with the Sentinel program
Experience leading technical teams in large‑scale aerospace/defense projects
Extensive experience in Model Based Systems Engineering projects on major defense programs
Experience with ICBM Development/Operations & Support program

Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600 – $178,000. The above range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills and market conditions.
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
