Position Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a

Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer . This position is located in

Roy, UT

and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for Support Equipment

Work with Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Specialty Engineering, and project management in development of Support Equipment for mission operational system on the Sentinel program to apply concepts and practices to Support Equipment

Analysis and perform Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) for Support Equipment Architecture development

Perform analyses at all levels of product lifecycle to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements as applicable to support equipment and total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into support equipment specifications using DOORS

Develops Architectural framework products using CAMEO MBSE product toolsets

Ensure support equipment requirements, architecture, and designs integrate with technical needs of the Sentinel program

Basic Qualifications This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).

Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years

Must have a current or ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

1 year experience in Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Tools (Cameo, Magic Draw, Rhapsody or similar)

1 year experience with Requirements management tools (DOORS, for example)

Systems Engineer (T-02)

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree

Principal Systems Engineer (T-03)

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related experience; 3 years experience with a Master of Science degree; 1 year experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of System Engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration

Experience with the following tools: CAMEO, DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA

Understands Support Equipment and uses, i.e., Peculiar (PSE) and Common (CSE) Support Equipment

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering

Experience with large scale aerospace/defense projects

Work Schedule This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Relocation Assistance Package This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

Senior Level Mid‑Senior level
