Job Summary The Sr. Systems Analyst supports the operations of the financial systems and technologies that support Wellstar, including Workday, UKG, and OnBase. This role includes supporting system upgrades, ensuring data integrity, resolving user issues, and optimizing financial system processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy through automation and other technical solutions. Serving as a vital link between Finance and other key stakeholder groups, this role provides system consultation, guidance, and support. In this capacity, the analyst acts as a point of contact and subject‑matter expert for various functional areas within Workday, such as Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
Core Responsibilities
Supports Finance and other teams with configuration changes in Workday and other applications (e.g., UKG, OnBase).
Recommends process changes and innovative solutions to improve user experience and customer service; may lead Finance Applications product changes.
Partners with IT resources and third‑party consulting firms to initiate cases, test changes, review business process changes, and approve them for production.
Coordinates system updates, enhancements, testing, validation and overall performance of the system.
Communicates case and project status with users, ensuring timely response and resolution of all issues.
Maintains data integrity in the Workday Finance workstreams and completes requests for data correction, organization moves, and position updates.
Assumes the role of Finance Systems Administrator for Workday Finance workstreams.
Troubleshoots and independently resolves all issues resulting from process breakdowns.
Supports the Finance team members during the month‑end close and maintains the close schedule in Workday.
Maintains the FDM structure—including ledger accounts, spend categories, cost centers, locations, companies, and cost center managers.
Backs up maintenance, running, and troubleshooting of allocations and EIBs; assists with creating or loading EIB files in Workday for processing and data validation.
Trains new Finance team users on Workday functionality, including system security, user access, and system changes.
Creates General Ledger user job aids as needed.
Partners with Finance leaders and other stakeholders to develop and enable solutions by providing functional and technical requirements, implementing solutions, and coordinating or leading projects as required.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance (preferred), or other related field.
Required Minimum Experience
Minimum 5 years of work experience in technology and/or healthcare.
Required Minimum Skills
Experience mentoring and facilitating system operations owners.
Project/resource planning skills; strong written and verbal communication.
High attention to detail and the ability to research and resolve problems.
Sound judgment in assessing situations and problems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple high‑priority issues simultaneously.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
Ability to function independently within a team environment.
Excellent rapport and relationship‑building skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Intermediate proficiency in SQL.
Accounting knowledge and Financial Systems knowledge required.
