We are seeking an
Edifecs Software Architect
to work with our team remotely from Atlanta, GA (100% Remote). In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced healthcare EDI solutions using the Edifecs platform. You will define architectural strategies, ensure compliance with HIPAA standards, and integrate solutions with enterprise systems to support payer and provider workflows. Acting as a technical leader, you will guide teams through end‑to‑end delivery, provide mentorship, and drive best practices for scalable, secure, and high‑performing EDI implementations. Accountabilities
Lead architectural design and strategy for Edifecs-based healthcare EDI implementations Customize and configure SNIP-level edits to meet client requirements Define integration patterns for X12 transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278) and ensure HIPAA compliance Guide API Gateway setup and integration with enterprise systems, including middleware and cloud platforms Oversee mapping, validation, error handling, and trading partner onboarding Drive performance tuning, security, and compliance across EDI transactions Mentor developers and analysts on Edifecs best practices and architectural approaches Collaborate with QA to define test strategies and support migration initiatives with minimal disruption Requirements
10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years working with Edifecs Smart Trading platform and healthcare EDI Proven expertise with Edifecs platform components such as TM, XEngine, SpecBuilder, and TPM Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278) Deep understanding of healthcare payer/provider workflows, Medicaid/Medicare, and clearinghouses Hands‑on experience in EDI mapping, transformation, and integration with enterprise systems Familiarity with SQL/Oracle databases, middleware, API integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Strong problem‑solving, architectural design, and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and business teams Preferred: experience with Edifecs migration, Snowflake, Facets, Epic, Agile/Scrum delivery, and relevant certifications Benefits
