Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

We are looking for an experienced

Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)

to join our growing technical team in New Jersey. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle databases supporting mission‑critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, backup/recovery, high availability, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and administer

Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c)

on Linux/Unix and Windows platforms. Manage database design, schema creation, and data modeling in collaboration with development teams. Perform backup, recovery, cloning, patching, and upgrades using RMAN and Data Pump. Ensure database performance, security, and high availability (HA) through tuning and proactive monitoring. Set up and maintain Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM environments. Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies. Monitor and optimize database storage, space utilization, and performance metrics. Support application developers with query optimization and database object management. Manage user access, roles, and privileges in compliance with security standards. Perform database migrations and refreshes between environments. Automate recurring administrative tasks using Shell, PL/SQL, or Python scripts. Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, processes, and policies. Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment. Strong expertise in Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c administration. Hands‑on experience with RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and OEM Cloud Control. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning. Experience in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting. Understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance policies. Familiarity with backup and recovery best practices and HA/DR configurations. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Oracle Exadata, GoldenGate, or Cloud (OCI/AWS/Azure) environments. Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server is a plus. Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert certification. Experience working in DevOps or CI/CD integrated database environments. Why Join Us
