Job Summary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA‑ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in remotely piloted aircraft, tactical reconnaissance radars, and advanced high‑resolution surveillance systems. This role plans, manages, and executes all international and domestic shipment activities and functions, leveraging a global 3rd‑party logistics network to improve shipping processes, tools, and analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities

Analyze, validate, and develop logistics and technical process requirements; lead implementation efforts specific to forward and reverse logistics operations.

Manage logistics and international shipping projects and develop solutions for internal and external customers.

Scope, schedule, and qualify international and domestic shipments in compliance with regulations (FMS, ITAR, IATA, HazMat) across all transportation modes.

Classify shipments at the product level, complete proper packing, labeling, and validation of import/export documentation; prepare load plans.

Collaborate with finance, purchasing, operations, manufacturing, and program office to achieve goals.

Perform analysis and process verification to ensure consistency, traceability, feasibility, and completeness; recommend and implement improvements.

Work closely with the 3rd‑party logistics network: solicit quotes, perform cost analysis, and coordinate quarterly business reviews.

Manage complex transportation moves with the global network for internal and external customers.

Monitor and audit logistics program expenditures, transactional costs, activities, and performance.

Develop, maintain, and distribute key performance metrics for leadership.

Create and disseminate hard‑copy and electronic reports using analytic models and prototypes.

Develop and enforce logistics practices, policies, procedures, and tools.

Provide leadership and training to less experienced staff when required.

Observe all relevant laws, regulations, and obligations and work safely per operational procedures.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and six or more years of experience as a business process analyst with computerized management systems, or equivalent experience.

Comprehensive understanding of logistics and transportation business processes, life‑cycle management principles, and aeronautical industry practices.

Ability to develop, perform, and maintain data analytics; solve complex logistics problems.

Extensive experience in international and domestic shipping, receiving, transportation, and warehouse management.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers, and external parties.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Proficient in Excel, SAP, PowerPoint, and logistics and transportation management systems.

Independent or team leader, willing to work extended hours and travel as needed.

Salary Range:

$73,700 – $128,780
