HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Job Summary:
Responsible for Clinical Division functions, e.g., communications, program management, research, professional development, and team relations.
Plans individually and collectively to determine nursing care’s future direction via nursing practice improvement.
Collaborates with other clinicians to ensure systems are appropriate and adequate to support nursing and patient care.
Works with nursing supervisors, managers, and directors to ensure departmental direction continuity and consistency across shifts.
Coaches, mentors, and role models.
Keeps current regarding nursing and health care trends for nursing practice integration.
Promotes nursing practice improvement.
Fosters a milieu supporting nurse training and skills development.
Responsible for developing an evidence-informed nursing practice improvement program throughout nursing units in accordance with the nursing service’s philosophy and the hospital’s mission.
Plans and directs nurse leaders in nursing practice improvement plans.
Implements and monitors the plan continuously (as it develops) to provide reinforcement or make needed changes.
Completes gap assessments; recommends actions to close nursing practice and care delivery gaps.
Identifies opportunities to improve patient safety; participates in projects and programs designed to reduce error and improve safety.
Oversees clinical aspects of the Centralized Telemetry Surveillance Center (department 7030) and Infection Prevention (IP) Wound Care Consulting (department 6259).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Preferred Education:
Master’s (or other graduate) degree in Nursing
Required Experience:
Three (3) years of relevant work experience
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]
