About the role
As a Principal Functional Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting‑edge solutions using S/4 HANA. With your expertise in Goods Issue GR pricing strategies and procurement, you will drive efficiency and innovation. Your contribution will enhance our supply chain and finance operations, aligning with the company’s strategic goals.
In this role, you will:
Lead blueprinting and realization of STP processes using SAP Activate methodology.
Configure and validate SAP MM Ariba and Business Network modules for procurement and supplier collaboration.
Ensure integration with upstream (budgeting planning) and downstream (invoice payment) processes.
Act as the primary liaison between procurement teams, SAP Cloud Architect Advisors (CAA), and Client Delivery Managers (CDM).
Collaborate with cross‑functional leads (R2R, M2C, HCM, Analytics) to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
Ensure adherence to RISE Validated Partner guidelines, including ADO User Story tracking and audit readiness.
Maintain documentation for change requests, release management, and functional testing.
Lead functional testing UAT and cutover activities for STP streams.
Provide Hypercare support post go‑live, including incident resolution and performance tuning.
Drive automation and optimization initiatives across procurement and supplier management.
Analyze KPIs and recommend enhancements to improve cycle times and reduce errors.

What you need to have to be considered
Experience with STP processes using SAP Activate methodology.
Expertise in Goods Issue GR pricing strategies and procurement.
Experience with the integration of both SAP and non‑SAP applications.
Knowledge of SAP’s cloud‑based architecture.
Identifying, assessing, and presenting options for meeting the functional and technical requirements, including hardware and software updates or upgrades.
Lead full lifecycle SAP implementations.
Experience delivering enterprise business transformation projects.
In‑depth knowledge of the SAP Solution Portfolio and Enterprise Architecture Framework.
These will help you stand out
Experience with SAP ISU (Industry Specific Solution for Utilities) is a big plus.
Relevant SAP certifications.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until 12/05/2025.
The annual salary for this position ranges between $180,000 and $200,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
