About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with 18 to 20 years of expertise in SAP S/4HANA Administration and SAP HANA DB Administration. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust solutions that align with our business objectives. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects that drive efficiency and growth.
In This Role, You Will
Define and implement SAP system architecture for RISE deployments
Lead ECC to S/4 Conversions, OS/DB migrations, and cloud transitions.
Design high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including RPO/RTO planning.
Oversee SAP Basis administration, including installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and patching.
Manage transport systems, client administration, and SNOTE applications.
Monitor system health (logs, dumps, traces, disk space) and proactively resolve issues.
Configure and manage SAP BTP sub-accounts, Cloud Connector, and hybrid integrations with S/4HANA, BW, SuccessFactors, and Snowflake.
Support deployment of AI services (SAP Datasphere, SAP AI Core, Joule Studio).
Ensure system security, user authorization, and compliance with SAP and customer policies.
Participate in audit readiness and maintain documentation for disaster recovery.
Lead cross-functional teams across Basis, infrastructure, and application domains.
Collaborate with SAP Cloud Architect Advisors (CAA), Client Delivery Managers (CDM), and customer stakeholders.
Conduct workshops, strategic calls, and reporting to senior leadership.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
18 to 20 years of expertise in SAP S/4HANA Administration and SAP HANA DB Administration
Experience with the integration of both SAP and non-SAP applications
Knowledge of SAP’s cloud-based architecture
Leadership experience
Identifying, assessing, and presenting options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades
Participation in a full lifecycle SAP implementation
These will help you stand out
Experience with SAP ISU (Industry Specific Solution for Utilities) is a big plus
Relevant SAP Architect certifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Salary And Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until 12/05/2025. The annual salary for this position is between $180,000 - $200,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
