We are currently seeking a Senior Lab Support Engineer to join our team in Mahwah, New Jersey (US‑NJ).
Key Responsibilities
PC Imaging & Configuration
– Prepare and deploy desktops and laptops using standardized imaging tools; configure operating systems, applications, and user settings according to company standards.
Hardware & Software Support
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to computer hardware, software, and peripherals; perform routine maintenance and upgrades as needed.
Inventory & Asset Management
– Track and manage IT equipment inventory; assist with equipment setup, relocation, and disposal.
User Support & Communication
– Provide technical assistance to employees in person, by phone, or remotely; communicate clearly and professionally to understand and resolve issues.
Documentation & Quality Assurance
– Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment status; ensure all work meets quality standards and follows IT policies and procedures.
24/7‑365 Datacenter Hardware Support
– Swap failed server components (DIMMs, power supplies, array controllers, hard drives, etc.), perform vendor escorts, server installations, decommissioning, and dispatching; work MTS shifts as required.
Physical Requirements Lifting, carrying, and moving computer equipment up to 75 lbs (or as needed). The role may require work during day, twilight, overnight, and weekends.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience supporting test environments and lab infrastructure; at least 1 year of experience imaging and configuring PCs.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in IT preferred.
Strong understanding of computer hardware and software.
Excellent organizational, time‑management, and detail‑oriented skills.
Ability to lift and move computer equipment safely.
Strong communication skills and collaboration ability.
