Piper Companies is seeking an Analytical Scientist in Branchburg, NJ to develop, characterize, implement, and support analytical methods for cellular therapy programs.
The role will be primarily lab based and onsite in Branchburg, NJ. This is a 12 month contract assignment with potential for extension or direct hire.
Responsibilities
Develop, tech transfer, and validate methods to enable internal and/or external QC testing.
Author and contribute to protocols, technical reports, SOPs, and reports detailing experimental work and summarizing results.
Perform analytical testing (cell-based function, flow cytometry, and PCR-based assays) and document testing under cGMP in collaboration with QC.
Analyze testing data and provide routine reports to management.
Track and trend analytical methods and assist in troubleshooting activities.
Assist in laboratory and product failure investigations.
Assist in authoring and reviewing CMC documents for regulatory filings (e.g. IND, BLA) in collaboration with other parts of organization.
Collaborate with internal and external team members.
Foster a collaborative and scientifically rigorous team culture.
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. degree in a relevant biological, technical, or cell engineering field with the following experience:
2-5 years of experience
Knowledge of and experience in CAR‑T cell therapy and analytical development.
Strong scientific acumen with basic understanding of analytical development and validation principles.
Experience with cell-based function, flow cytometry, and PCR-based assays.
Knowledge working with MACSQuant 16 (or equivalent), Vi‑CELL BLU (or equivalent), MSD (or standard ELISA platform) is ideal but not required.
Experience with cell culture (mammalian) and aseptic techniques preferred.
