Seeking a Contracts Advisor with strong LNG, Maintenance & facilities, construction, and operational contracting experience to support a large LNG terminal. This role requires someone ready to contribute immediately—boots on the ground—supporting engineering, maintenance, and operations. Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating end-to-end contracting from requirements definition, bidding, sourcing, negotiating, and securing agreements. Responsible for contract planning, engaging with business owners, determining contract strategy, selecting contracting methods, identification of contract risks and putting in place risk mitigation, negotiation and finalization of contracts and handover to business owners. Responsible for evaluating supplier performance and communicating results to operations; maintaining compliance with materials and services contracts. Interfaces with various levels of management and reports to the Contracts Manager. Supports business with contracting requests and determines contract strategy (existing agreement, new agreement, sourcing, bidding etc.). Manages development, evaluation, and execution of contracts and amendments for materials and services (M&S), professional services, or other contracts including related controls and approvals. Identifies, develops and implements opportunities for cost savings in contracting (e.g., terms and rate negotiations, renewals, service levels), working with legal for endorsement on changes to model agreements. Supports business in reviewing and preparing scopes of work for contracts. Monitors contracts and ensures renewal or replacement contracts are in place to avoid lapses in service availability. Leads bidding activities for projects, high-value purchases, and other scenarios, including providing advisory activities/recommendations on scopes of work, required exhibits, and bid documents. Maintains excellent customer service while interfacing with suppliers and other functions such as business owners, legal, finance, tax, health and safety. Performs Supplier Qualification on vendors for financial considerations, safety, references, IT risks, technical capabilities, and conflicts. Analyzes and documents contract deliverables and requirements (KPIs) and monitors for efficiency. Identifies process improvement activities. Participates in internal assessments and resolves gaps. Interfaces with multiple organizations and various levels of management. Leads special projects. Maintains documentation and records per retention policy. Supports P2P activities; identifies, develops and implements opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements. Provides updates and reports regarding contracting/purchasing status to stakeholders and management on a regular basis. Proven contracting experience for materials, services and ability to be flexible across all categories. Must Haves / Qualifications
5+ years of experience in contract management, particularly in oil & gas or LNG environments, working with contracts from start to finish. Proven experience with materials and services contracts, ideally in maintenance and IT. Strong knowledge of contracting processes and supplier relationship management. Working knowledge of SAP—must be able to navigate, find POs, and update records. SAP HANA is a plus. Comfortable managing 10–15 contracts at a time in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
