Director of Recruitment & Business Development Position Summary:

The Controller will lead the accounting and finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective internal controls. This role is ideal for a hands‑on finance professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and can contribute to strategic decision‑making while managing day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Manage internal and external audits.

Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasts.

Analyze variances between actuals and budget/forecast and provide actionable insights to management.

Operational Accounting

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Supervise cost accounting for manufacturing operations, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and product costing.

Partner with operations to drive cost efficiencies and process improvements.

Cash Management & Treasury

Manage cash flow planning and working capital.

Liaise with banks and financial institutions for financing, credit, and cash management needs.

Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team.

Foster a collaborative and high‑performance culture within the finance department.

Strategic Partnering

Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.

Participate in strategic planning and capital expenditure decisions.

Support operational management with KPI reporting and financial modeling.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar).

Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.

Ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
