Admissions Communications Coordinator

position. The minimum starting salary for this position is

$53,938.

Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility.

The Admissions Communications Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing marketing emails, texts, and print materials using CRM systems. They develop strategic communication plans for outreach to prospective students, applicants, and campus partners, and maintain the applicant portal and lead generation forms. Key responsibilities include content creation and copywriting, project management and timeline coordination, consulting with campus partners to implement communication needs, monitoring and reporting on content performance, and researching and developing best practices for email and SMS communications. The specialist also performs test deployments to ensure content accuracy, prepares queries, coordinates stakeholder proofing, manages the email calendar, troubleshoots issues, generates metrics, and provides guidance on email functionality. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in communication efforts.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree- Marketing, communications, or related area.

• Minimum 2+ years of professional experience related to duties and responsibilities, including internship or practicum experience.

• Knowledge of email & SMS marketing best practices.

• Experience working under tight deadlines.

• Experience with email distribution programs.

• Experience with Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office.

• Familiarity with databases and list management.

• Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects from a variety of stakeholders.

• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels with a variety of backgrounds.

• Must exhibit exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have the ability to learn, be flexible to change, and be innovative.

• Ability to be creative and proactive yet disciplined, in order to prioritize workload

Preferred Education and Experience:

Master's Degree- Marketing, communications, or related area.

• Knowledge of higher education workflow.

• Knowledge and understanding of one or more production disciplines: print, digital, and broadcast (multimedia).

• Experience using Slate CRM, Asana project management system, Banner, and/or Emma.

• Knowledge of university style and communications standards.

• Knowledge of HTML editors and coding

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of email & SMS marketing best practices.

• Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects from a variety of stakeholders.

• Must exhibit exceptional attention to detail and can produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 190 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Center for Financial Wellness, University Registrar, Pre-college Research Excellence Programs, EM Research & Analytics, EM Communications, and EM Operations.
