Position Overview
Merced College is hiring part-time instructional faculty for the Business, Workforce Development, and Adult Education & Noncredit division. The professor will teach a variety of marketing courses, with a maximum teaching load of 10 units per semester, including evening and weekend hours. The position is part of an open pool for the academic year 2025-2026.

Employees will earn sick leave credit at a rate of one hour for each 20 hours of paid service.
Responsibilities Essential Functions:
Provide instruction in accordance with established course outlines and expectations
Inform students about course requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance policy
Maintain required student attendance and scholastic records
Prepare and grade class assignments and examinations
Post and maintain regular office hours in accordance with prevailing policy
Participate in the development and review of curriculum
Participate in the development of teaching‑learning methods and materials
Participate in departmental, area and campus professional activities/committees
Participate in the college's learning outcomes assessment program, including course, program, and institutional assessments
Perform tasks needed for student records, e.g., submit grades on time to admissions and records
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in business administration, business management, business education, marketing, advertising, or finance OR
Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's degree in economics, accountancy, taxation, or law OR
The equivalent
Promote and incorporate culturally affirming DEIA and anti‑racist principles to nurture and create a respectful, inclusive, and equitable learning and work environment. In conducting their duties, staff members shall respect and acknowledge the diversity of students and colleagues.
Preferred:
Teaching experience in the field
Current technology skills related to teaching in the discipline and a willingness to pursue future technological developments
