Responsibilities

Oversee the timely reporting necessary to satisfy the financial information requirements of TEMUSA and Lubs management. Compile the monthly commentary on results through insight and with the input of managers responsible. Submit quarterly results to HQ for consolidation.

Carry out a comprehensive process to analyze, explain, and illustrate trends and variations in affiliate results always with an eye on future improvements and efficiencies.

Leverage the SAP Template Light Harmonie system to make available useful, and timely business information to support the development objectives of the Business Units.

Troubleshoot and assist with resolution of the accounting aspects of SAP Template Light Harmonie transaction processing issues including material master modification, PO setup/approval/closeout, invoice processing, and other areas as needed.

Lead, as appropriate, TEMUSA SAP Template Light Harmonie accounting development projects and coordinate configuration changes with IT support, including user acceptance testing and cutover.

Coordinate intercompany transaction processing as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with TotalEnergies affiliate shared service teams.

Interview, onboard, and cross train team members on assigned duties.

Assist the Head of MS Financial Controls and Reporting and other financial, operational and/or strategic analyses, as directed.

Ensure that the performance of the Accounting Shared Services meets TEMUSA requirements (quality, timing) for group reporting, internal reporting, and financial audit requests.

Responsible for the generation of US GAAP Financial Statements & accompanying footnotes and consolidated financials.

Coordinate with external auditors to assess our intercompany transfer price exposure (sales/purchases with/to 25+ different Group Affiliates).

Liaise with TEAS groups such as Treasury, Credit, Internal Control, and SSC to address any issues and ensure proper support is provided.

Manage month-end accounting close process, assist with journal entries, and coordinate inputs with all affected groups including Operations, Procurement, business line management, and TEAS Finance.

Liaise with TEAS Tax or third-party tax service providers and coordinate completion of all supporting federal, property, state, excise, and international tax schedules, payments, and certificates.

Lead the Accounting Team in daily, weekly, monthly & annual duties and projects including task distribution and delegation.

Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Analyze, recommend, and apply business processes, policy, controls, and methods improvement.

Act as CPA firm liaison in support of TEMUSA audit requirements, coordinate implementation of new regulatory standard compliance.

Back up derivative reporting for and Aviation business lines as needed.

Review monthly account reconciliations prepared by Shared Service Center and aid in clearing outstanding balances.

Activities

2 legal entities (TEMUSA and TGLE, based in Germany), 4 major business units (Lubricants, Aviation, ACS, LubMarine)

One of TEMUSA’s primary points of contact for AME Controlling team.

Critical role in the relationship with the US Finance Shared services.

Main interlocutor of VP Lubricants, and all business Managers, Department of Worldwide Services (Lubmarine and Aviation), direct exposure to the President and CEO of TEMUSA.

TEMUSA/TGLE 2022 figures: Turnover 1B$ / Investments 9M$ / WCR 248M$ (155M$ Inventories, 93M$ receivables and payables) / Capital Employed 443M$.

60+ product storage locations: 1 Lubricants blending facility, 2 Lubricants warehouses, 30 third party lubricants blenders and warehouses, 30 Jet storage/airports.

Approx. 1,000 active customers, approx. 1,500 different materials, exports in 50 countries.

Candidate Profile

Education/Experience: Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.

Skills: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
