Base pay range: $74,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Location: White Pond Drive, Akron, OH. ON‑SITE position.

About the Opportunity FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., seeks an Executive Assistant to support the Chief Human Resources Officer. The role requires strong administrative support, calendar management, communication, and confidential handling of executive information.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a solid commitment to all aspects of safety, maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers.

Provide sophisticated calendar and travel management: prioritize inquiries, troubleshoot conflicts, judge priorities.

Complete administrative tasks to facilitate the CHRO: prepare meeting materials, correspondence, reports, presentations.

Serve as primary point of contact with other executives and stakeholders, handling highly confidential matters.

Maintain senior leader’s awareness of upcoming commitments; follow up appropriately.

Effectively manage the senior leader’s time by researching, collecting, and analyzing information as needed.

Maintain discretion and confidentiality; manage sensitive material.

Maintain a well‑organized filing system for key reports.

Use excellent communication skills; anticipate needs and deliver results consistently.

Display teamwork while working with other assistants and employees.

Support other executives as needed.

Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 10 years comparable experience supporting C‑level executive.

Must pass company Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test.

Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook Email, Calendaring; ability to design & edit presentations.

Excellent verbal & written communication, time‑management; proven ability to meet deadlines.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail.

Commitment to performance excellence; integrity & discretion with confidential information.

Demonstrated question‑oriented learning, business acumen, ability to decipher priorities.

High degree of professionalism; confident dealing with diverse groups such as Board members, executives, staff.

Team‑oriented collaborative approach.

Creative thinking with urgency; able to respond quickly.

Ability to function well in high‑paced environment and switch gears.

Deliver accurate work within deadlines.

Interpersonal skills; build relationships with stakeholders.

Strong verbal & written communication skills.

EEIO Testing & Requirements FirstEnergy administers selection tests developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). Candidates are encouraged to review practice tests.
