Hiring ASAP for an experienced
Complex Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal
in our
Century City
office!
This team works directly with Senior Partners on the Commercial Litigation team, handling CA State, Federal, and Appellate court filings, eDiscovery, drafting legal documents, and trial support.
Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types Annual Bonus

Duties and Responsibilities
File physical and electronic documents.
Handle client communications, including calls, emails, and coordination.
Responsible for all aspects of client intake, file opening, engagement documents, etc.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, including videoconferences and conference calls.
Manage attorneys’ contacts, schedule, and calendar.
Enter time for timekeeper and print reports as requested.
Process expense reports and check requests.
Track all billable and non-billable time in 3E.
Assist attorneys in preparation for meetings.
Prepare and finalize pleadings in accordance with applicable State and Federal rules for filing with courts.
Assist with document retrieval, reviews, organization, and productions.
Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, and discovery.
Prepare for depositions, i.e., prep binders, exhibits, and other discovery-related tasks.
Work with supervising attorney to organize and prepare exhibit lists and/or privilege logs.
Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, adhering to strict deadlines.
Coordinate and assist with trial preparations, i.e., exhibits, witness binders, and demonstratives.
Provide organizational and legal support at trial, such as assisting with jury selection, presentation and maintenance of exhibits, and witness coordination.
Assist with case docketing, including court and discovery deadlines.
Requirements
3+ years of Commercial Litigation experience.
Experience filing in California State and Federal Courts.
Ability to manage a high-volume and complex workload.
Understanding of eDiscovery using the Relativity platform (plus).
Experience with heavy document production and trial preparations.
