company. In this job you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system. To qualify for this job you will have strong experience with 3G/5G communication systems, core networking and model based systems engineering (MBSE).
Responsibilities
Define, develop, and sustain enhancements to the
MUOS (Mobile User Objective System) , a live
DoD satellite communication system .
Serve as a key member of a
cross-functional team
spanning systems, software, hardware, and integration disciplines.
Lead and support efforts across the
systems development lifecycle , including requirements, architecture, interface definition, and system validation.
Apply
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
principles and tools to design and manage complex systems.
Ensure system solutions meet
warfighter communication needs , with scalability and resilience.
Utilize tools such as
DOORS, Cameo, or similar
to manage requirements and model system behavior.
Collaborate in an
Agile environment
to continuously evolve and integrate new system capabilities.
Provide
technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership , promoting innovation and cross-team success.
Qualifications
U.S. citizenship required with Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools.
Strong telephony background and experience.
Experience with ground communication systems.
Strong understanding of core networking.
Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win‑win solutions.
Agile experience preferred.
