Summary The Costing Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the costing process for home textile products (table linens, kitchen, pillows, rugs, mats, bedding, bath). This role will ensure that all product costs are accurate, competitive, and aligned with company margin goals. The Costing Manager will partner with cross‑functional teams, including design, product development, finance, and quality—as well as global vendors—to ensure transparent, consistent, and optimized costing practices.

Costing & Analysis

Review vendor quotes and negotiate cost components to ensure competitiveness and profitability.

Perform detailed cost breakdown analysis to identify savings opportunities and cost drivers.

Develop and maintain costing models and templates specific to home textiles (fabrics, trims, packaging, labor).

Ensure alignment with company margin requirements and pricing strategies.

Vendor & Supplier Management

Partner with global vendors to obtain accurate, timely cost submissions.

Benchmark costs across suppliers, regions, and categories to support sourcing decisions.

Provide feedback to vendors on cost competitiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Sourcing and Material team to ensure compliance with costing assumptions (e.g., material standards, packaging specs).

Collaborate with finance and planning to support margin analysis and business planning.

Process & Reporting

Implement standardized costing procedures, tools, and reporting mechanisms.

Maintain accurate costing database for all programs and products.

Support costing input for line reviews, customer presentations, and seasonal buy meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

5–7 years of experience in costing, sourcing, or product development within the home textiles or soft goods industry.

Strong understanding of textile construction, fabric weights, trims, finishes, and manufacturing processes.

Experience working with overseas vendors and knowledge of global production regions (India, Pakistan, China, Turkey, etc.).

Solid analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level required); ERP or PLM system knowledge preferred.

Strong communication skills with ability to present costing scenarios to leadership.

Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑driven.

Salary $100,000 - $110,000
