Job Brief

The Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of Astura Medical's warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient handling of spinal implant systems and instrumentation. This position is responsible for inventory management, order fulfillment, receiving, shipping, and logistics coordination - maintaining a high level of accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence that directly supports surgical cases and field operations. The role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance day-to-day operational management with process optimization and strategic planning.

Responsibilities Lead, train, and manage the warehouse team to ensure all inbound, outbound, and inventory control activities meet service, accuracy, and safety standards. Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, and returns. Manage and maintain inventory accuracy across finished goods, consigned field inventory, and sterile packaged implants. Utilize ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage transactions, reporting, and traceability in compliance with FDA and ISO standards. Partner closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Quality to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and case shipments. Develop and implement SOPs to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and improve operational efficiency. Ensure warehouse safety standards, including OSHA compliance, equipment maintenance, and employee training on proper handling and lifting procedures. Manage relationships with shipping carriers, 3PLs, and courier partners to ensure optimal performance and cost control. Prepare and analyze operational metrics including pick accuracy, turnaround times, inventory variance, and order fulfillment rates. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, lean practices, and space utilization. Support operational readiness for new product launches, sterilization cycles, and field deployments. Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise warehouse associates, shipping/receiving coordinators, and inventory control specialists. Oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed. Develop and maintain departmental metrics (KPIs) tied to efficiency, safety, and accuracy. Forecast resource needs and manage labor schedules to meet fluctuating operational demands. Collaborate with senior leadership on capacity planning, warehouse layout design, and technology implementation. Support the creation and enforcement of policies related to warehouse safety, handling, and documentation. Manage departmental budget, equipment procurement, and vendor relationships. Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required 5+ years' customer service experience Operational Leadership: Ability to manage day-to-day warehouse operations while developing a long-term vision for scalability. Inventory Accuracy: Strong understanding of inventory control methodologies and cycle counting practices. Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of FDA, ISO, and QSR requirements specific to medical device warehousing and distribution. System Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and warehouse management software. Process Optimization: Proven record of implementing efficiency improvements and reducing waste. Safety & Compliance: Deep understanding of OSHA standards and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works effectively with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure flawless execution. Analytical & Problem Solving: Uses data-driven decision-making to identify trends and root causes. Leadership & Development: Builds, motivates, and holds teams accountable to performance and quality standards. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal reporting and external coordination. Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements

Need the ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and frequently bend, stoop, and kneel. Managers must also be able to maintain safety standards, and be able to wear personal protective equipment when needed.
