Professional Electrical Engineer
with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver high-quality electrical system designs across a diverse range of markets — including federal, state, commercial, and institutional clients. What You’ll Do
Lead the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and controls, grounding, and emergency/UPS systems
Manage and coordinate multi-discipline project teams from concept through construction
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior engineers and designers
Conduct load flow, short circuit, and voltage drop analyses to optimize system configurations
Support construction and commissioning phases, ensuring quality and client satisfaction
What You’ll Bring
6–10 years
of experience in electrical engineering design
Bachelor’s degree
in Electrical, Architectural/Electrical, or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited institution
Professional Engineer (PE)
license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 3 months
Proficiency in
system modeling software
such as ETAP, SKM, or AGI
Experience designing building systems for a variety of project types
Eligibility to work in the U.S. and obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Prior
consulting
or
federal government
design experience
LEED accreditation
or
Lighting Certification (LC)
Familiarity with
Revit
and
AutoCAD
Knowledge of
sustainable and energy-efficient design
practices
