SpineSearch is seeking a CNIM-certified Intraoperative Neurophysiologist to join a leading surgical monitoring team covering the Stamford area. This full-time position focuses primarily on spine and spine-related procedures, with some exposure to ENT and carotid endarterectomy (CEA) cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring during spinal, ENT, and vascular (CEA) surgeries.
Set up, calibrate, and operate monitoring equipment to record and interpret evoked potentials, EMG, and EEG activity.
Communicate real-time data and findings to the surgical team to help guide intraoperative decisions.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all monitored cases.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and patient privacy regulations.
Collaborate with supervising neurologists and surgical staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Qualifications:
Current CNIM certification (ABRET required)
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, etc.) preferred
Minimum of 1–2 years of intraoperative monitoring experience preferred; spine experience strongly desired
Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and signal interpretation
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Reliable, professional, and able to adapt in a fast-paced surgical environment
