Pay Range
Base pay: $135,000.00/yr – $160,000.00/yr
Additional compensation: Annual Bonus
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision‑making processes.
- Accounting Operations:
- Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Internal Controls:
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
- Identify and address control deficiencies.
- Audit Support:
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audit inquiries.
- Address audit findings and implement recommendations.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Recommend and implement best practices in financial reporting and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation required.
- Proven experience in a financial management role within the financial services industry or public accounting with an emphasis on financial service clients.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Five to ten years post‑graduate experience.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment.
