Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an experienced Paralegal to our expanding and fast‑paced Chicago, IL office. As a Paralegal, you will be responsible for handling and maintaining cases from start to finish, providing support to attorneys, organizing case files, managing caseload requirements, and monitoring case filing, timelines, and billing.

What You'll Do
Schedule deposition and medical examination dates, and maintain attorneys’ calendars
Order, obtain, and summarize medical records for active files
Maintain frequent contact with clients, opposing counsel, and medical specialists
File and organize exhibitions, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel; maintain all records for each case
Support attorneys with affidavits and other formal legal documents, review trial transcriptions, and monitor deadlines and calendars
What We're Looking For
Minimum of two years of experience in worker’s compensation defense or personal injury defense
Ability to work in‑office on a full‑time basis
Excellent writing, typing, and editing skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to edit and proofread correspondence and legal documents
Familiarity with medical terminology
Collaborative approach in a team‑oriented environment
Strong organization, detail‑orientation, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities
Excellent communication skills with clients, opposing counsel, medical experts, and others
Education And Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Two plus years of applicable legal experience required
Experience in worker’s compensation defense & personal injury
