Pulmonologist at Howard Beach/New Hyde Park
The Northwell Health Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a board‑certified Pulmonologist to join a practice of six full‑time physicians and two nurse practitioners. The practice serves locations in New Hyde Park, Woodbury, and the expanding Howard Beach, Queens site. The selected physician will provide outpatient pulmonary care, outpatient and inpatient consults at LIJMC and NSUH, and may perform procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracentesis. Rotational weekend call is included, and inpatient consultation will be supported by house‑keeping and the hospitalist group. Responsibilities include: Deliver high‑quality outpatient pulmonary care (chest radiography, pulmonary function testing, laboratory draws, and home sleep apnea exams). Perform inpatient pulmonary consults and procedures (bronchoscopy, thoracentesis) at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Nassau Veterans Hospital. Participate in rotational weekend call and inpatient services as needed. Collaborate with medical staff, hospital leadership, and residents to promote quality patient care. Engage with community partners and contribute to the Northwell Health Lung Institute initiatives. Qualifications
ACGME‑accredited residency completion and board certification in Pulmonary Medicine (sleep‑medicine certification preferred). Strong administrative, communication, and team‑work skills. Recent experience using mainstream pulmonary clinical methods and technologies. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior; Employment type: Full‑time; Job function: Health Care Provider.
