Position Overview The
Windows Systems Administrator
will be responsible for managing and maintaining global Windows infrastructure supporting engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise systems. This role ensures stability, security, and performance across Windows server environments and collaborates closely with network, security, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable IT services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP.
Manage system updates, patches, and configuration baselines in compliance with IT security standards.
Perform system performance monitoring, event analysis, and capacity planning to ensure uptime and responsiveness.
Maintain and optimize virtualization infrastructure (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar).
Implement and support enterprise backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with corporate security policies.
Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and application‑level issues in coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors.
Contribute to automation initiatives using PowerShell or Ansible to streamline administrative tasks.
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects supporting digital transformation initiatives.
Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support and create detailed documentation for processes and configurations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience administering large‑scale Windows Server environments in a corporate or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V) and storage technologies (SAN/NAS).
Familiarity with Azure AD, Intune, and hybrid cloud integration a plus.
Proficiency with scripting and automation (PowerShell required).
Understanding of enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, etc.) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, SCOM, Splunk).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment and communicate technical concepts effectively to non‑technical users.
Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
