Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and possess a Professional Engineer certification. This role requires strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, with additional 3D modeling skills being advantageous. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering analysis tools and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple mechanical engineering projects simultaneously.

Utilize strong client-facing and relationship-building skills to manage client relationships effectively.

Ensure thorough knowledge and application of Building and Mechanical Codes and Standards.

Design Fire Life Safety systems with a preferred understanding.

Implement and manage Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Building Automation Systems.

Conduct energy audits and manage projects in accordance with ASHRAE levels 1-3.

Incorporate renewable energy design into projects where applicable.

Essential Skills

10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification preferred.

Proficiency in CAD and Revit.

Strong understanding of Building and Mechanical Codes and Standards.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Fire Life Safety system design is preferred.

Proficiency in Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and Building Automation Systems.

CEM and CxA certifications are advantageous.

Experience in commissioning, energy, and HVAC design is a plus.

Knowledge of eQuest software.

Renewable energy design experience is a plus.

Work Environment The position operates in a dynamic engineering environment, utilizing advanced technologies such as CAD, Revit, and various digital control systems. The role demands a focus on detail and precision, often requiring interaction with clients to build and maintain strong relationships. Dress code is professional, reflecting the client-facing nature of the position. The work schedule is standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required to meet project deadlines.

Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Portland, Oregon and Bellevue, WA.

Pay And Benefits Pay range: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year.
