Burkhart Brothers Construction is a premier custom home builder known for its focus on exceptional quality, innovative design, and high-end luxury. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Custom Home Construction Superintendent to oversee the successful and timely execution of our unique, high-end residential projects. This is a critical leadership role that requires a blend of residential construction knowledge, financial management, and superior client communication skills. Summary

The Superintendent will be responsible for the complete field operations and successful execution of multi-million dollar, ground-up custom luxury residences and large-scale remodels. This role requires a seasoned professional with meticulous attention to detail, exceptional client-facing communication skills, and an uncompromising commitment to the highest standards of quality craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities

Field Management:

Oversee all jobsite activities, including safety, quality control, and adherence to the project schedule and budget. Scheduling & Logistics:

Create, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules (e.g., using Buildertrend) to ensure projects are completed on time. Subcontractor Coordination:

Manage and coordinate all trade contractors and field personnel, ensuring they meet the exacting standards of luxury residential construction. Quality Assurance:

Conduct daily inspections and generate/manage defect lists, ensuring the highest level of fit and finish from concrete and structural phases through fine finish details. Communication & Collaboration:

Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for architects, engineers, subcontractors, field management team, proactively investigating and resolving field issues. Safety:

Implement and manage the overall site safety program, ensuring compliance with all local and federal regulations. Budget Oversight:

Track and manage job costs, labor, and materials in collaboration with the Project Manager. Qualifications and Experience

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Superintendent in high-end, luxury, custom residential construction (verifiable references required). Experience with projects in the $1M - $5M+ range is typically sought. Technical Skills:

Proficient ability to read, interpret, and implement complex architectural and structural plans (testing may be required). Software Proficiency:

Competence in project management software (e.g., Buildertrend or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word). Construction Knowledge:

Considerable knowledge of all construction tools, machinery, methods, and procedures, with a strong understanding of building science and materials unique to luxury homes. Personal Attributes: Attention to detail and quality. Strong leadership and delegation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills for high-level client and professional interaction. Proactive, self-driven problem solver with a strong bias for action. Qualifications But Not Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
