Position: Japanese Bilingual Senior Tax Associate
Remote – candidate must reside in California.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for S‑Corporations, Partnerships, C‑Corporations, and high‑net‑worth individuals.
Manage workflow of multiple tax engagements, ensuring internal and external deadlines are met.
Serve as primary point of contact for routine tax matters, proactively communicating filing requirements and technical positions.
Conduct in‑depth research on complex state and federal tax issues, drafting clear technical memos to support compliance positions.
Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax staff, providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth.
Assist managers and partners with year‑end tax planning and projections to identify potential tax savings opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years progressive tax preparation and review experience.
Active CPA license or demonstrated progress toward obtaining the license.
Advanced proficiency in professional tax preparation software, Microsoft Excel, and related accounting technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Current California residency required.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to travel approximately once per month (2‑3 days as needed).
