Reporting to a Sr. Packaging Engineer, this position is part of the Research and Innovation team and is responsible for providing technical support on projects within a business unit related to dairy and non-dairy packaging, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and productivity.
This Co- Op will take place Fall 2026 - June 15th - Dec 11th, located in White Plains, NY or Louisville, CO.
Responsibilities
Leading innovation/productivity/sustainability initiatives of existing packaging platforms by identifying, testing, and qualifying different materials or processes
Conducting extensive testing to evaluate product and package performance in a real world environment
Designing a new package format for different channels of trade (e.g. Club stores, Value, & Grocery)
Assisting in preparation of documentation and specifications for packaging materials
Working cross functional teams
The salary range for this position is $20 - $28/hour USD.
About You
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field
One or more courses completed: Materials Science, Distribution Packaging, and Food Packaging.
Strong communication and analytical skills
Strong problem solving skills & a continuous improvement mindset
Collaborative and able to work in a team environment
