Salt Lake SHRM - Associate Director of Workforce Readiness
The Associate Director of Workforce Readiness partners with the Director of Workforce Readiness to monitor and evaluate local activities, issues, developments, and initiatives concerning workforce readiness. They also work with chapter workforce readiness advocates to plan and encourage chapter involvement and activities impacting the workforce readiness arena, adding value to the membership of our Salt Lake SHRM Chapter members.
Responsibilities
Serve as advocate for workforce readiness on Salt Lake SHRM and at other professional meetings and assist chapters in coordinating programs and other chapter activities on workforce readiness
Identify and evaluate issues which impact workforce readiness and develop goals for state council strategy
Serve as a resource for Salt Lake SHRM on workforce readiness issues and provide leadership to the chapters on these issues
Monitor local activities concerning workforce readiness, workforce investment authorization, welfare-to-work, and education partnerships; provide timely information on these issues to Salt Lake SHRM Board
Develop and support workshops and seminars that address workforce readiness initiatives and issues
Provide special recognition for chapter members and local programs that provide betterment of the workforce
Additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
Must be a SHRM National and Chapter member in good standing
Must be able to meet with subcommittees to align membership growth strategies regularly
Must serve as a board voting member and attend >75% of Board meetings (3rd Tuesday of every month, 8‑9:30am)
Must be able to regularly attend monthly Professional Development Meetings (2nd Tuesday of every month, 10am‑1pm) and other SLSHRM events as planned
Time Commitment : Approximately 10‑15 hours per month
