We're seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with strong accounting expertise and a background in consumer packaged goods (CPG)particularly those sold through retail and DTC channels. This role requires someone who can own the day-to-day accounting functions while helping to scale financial operations in a high-growth environment.
This is a hands-on role for a highly motivated accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven company. Experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, and online retailer portals (e.g., Walmart, Target) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, and GL maintenance. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis. Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports. Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure proper accounting of COGS, inventory, and retail / digital channel revenues. Work closely with external tax, audit, and financial consultants. Support financial compliance with GAAP standards and internal controls. Maintain and optimize accounting systems including QuickBooks Online and Bill.com. Help integrate and reconcile data from retailer portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link, Target Partners Online) and DTC platforms.
