Boeing is looking for a
Software Quality Engineer (Associate or Experienced)
to join the Software Quality team located in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
Our team of highly‑motivated, customer‑focused SQEs partner with integrated program teams to help develop and maintain a culture of first‑time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a member of this team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to assure the right process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products provided by suppliers.
The selected candidate will partner with various Software Engineering teams to support the software development within the BDS Bombers program, specifically the B‑52 platform. A successful candidate will collaborate with peers within the Software Engineering enterprise to assure first‑time quality and should have a broad background in software development practices, tools, and processes. Experience with Agile and knowledge of quality standards (e.g. AS9115) is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.
Position Responsibilities
Define and maintain program‑level software quality engineering processes, resources, and infrastructure
Use established criteria to review, comment on, and recommend approval of software life‑cycle documents and program products
Conduct audits of software engineering processes and associated support functions
Assist in configuration management activities such as software product release and change control boards
Assist with review of deviations and waivers to the software baseline
Improve products and processes and manage risk
Monitor or witness test activity to established test plans and procedures
Assist with verification of test results to performance requirements
Use established procedures and methods to perform final reconciliation of simple software data products
Assist in verifying the acceptability of segments of the supplier's software quality systems and programs
Identify non‑conformances and issue corrective actions
Review and approve corrective and preventive action plans
Assist in verification of effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans
Work under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post‑Start).
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or another technical degree
2+ years of experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Experience using Agile software development practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
3 or more years of related experience or equivalent education
4+ years of experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
3+ years of software quality engineering applied experience including knowledge of MIL‑STD‑882E, DO‑178, and/or AS9115
Experience with DevSecOps and associated tools
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non‑US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $78,200.00 – $105,800.00. Summary pay range for Experienced Level: $83,300.00 – $112,700.00
