Day Habilitation Specialist
Join ACLD to support adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a day habilitation program.
Base pay range:
$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

In This Position, You Will
Help participants achieve or exceed their personal goals.
Provide structure and emotional support.
Assist in resolving behavioral issues.
Help with personal hygiene.
Complete detailed, accurate documentation.
Transport participants to and from volunteer and pre‑vocational activities using agency vehicles.
Qualifications
Clean, valid NYS driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred; training will be provided.
Complete AMAP and SCIP trainings within 6 months of hire.
Ability to assist with lifting and transferring an adult.
Experience as Caregiver, Care Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion is a plus.
Locations:
Bethpage, Commack, Deer Park, Hauppauge, Levittown, Glen Cove, Westbury.
Hours:
Mon‑Fri 8 a‑4 p or 8 a‑3 45 p.
